Anguilla Vacation and Beaches

The Caribbean island of Anguilla is one of the least known islands in the Eastern Caribbean. However, Anguilla is a tropical paradise with a friendly population of just about 12,000 with 35 lovely beaches. It is an excellent island for family vacation as well as for romantic couples. One of the fascinating things about Anguilla is its beaches. There are beaches that can fit the different the of vacation requirements.  

The most popular beach in Anguilla is Shoal Bay East. This beach have been voted best beach in the world for its soft powdery white sand and its lovely beach bars. Another of the popular beaches in the island is Barnes Bay which is a secluded small island which makes it excellent for a romantic vacation spots Anguilla. Two other beaches on the island are Shoal Bay east and Sandy Ground. There also the Rendezvous Bay beaches which is 2.5 miles long. This beach is perfect for a family vacation with is calm shallow waters. Maundays Bay Beach is another good beach in Anguilla which is good for swimming and snorkeling. 

One of unique things about Anguilla is the interior of the island has desert like features. This means most of the island activities are mainly concentrated in the coastline. These activities are great for families. A reason for this is because the island is one of the most peaceful islands in the Caribbean. So family can enjoy a vacation on the island in a safe and refreshing environment. This is accompanied by some delicious foods made with fish, rice, peas, goat and the list can go on.  Some of the main activities done on the beaches in Anguilla are snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, swimming or just walking and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Some of the other activities you can engage in are bird watching, biking, miniature hiking and touring of rainforest and horseback riding. 

You may be thinking of how to get to Anguilla. However, Anguilla is the most northerly island in the island chain of the Leeward Islands. It lies east of Puerto Rico, United State and British Virgin Islands and is direct north of St. Martin. The islands of St. Thomas, Tortola, St. Martin, and St. Kitts are all islands that you can get direct flight to Anguilla.
